The story follows a stoner through a rather rough dream sequence (or I should say nightmare). It shows him rather unfavorable events of his life. He begins to drown in strange liquid before waking up in a cold sweat in the afternoon. He sees that he has received a text from a friend and decides to go to his home to get high, an act he seems to do often and beats himself up mentally for it. While he is high, his mind rushes through his flaws and he seems to be deep in thought. This leads him to calling an old friend and getting high with her. He contemplates many things while in this state but ultimately doesn’t act on anything. He goes to sleep afterward, not really dreaming much but when he does, he has another moment like the one earlier: one of clarity. Upon waking, he writes two more stories based on his dreams.
I think you did very well in terms of imagery. The details with the weed were very knowledgeable to say the least and you never left us wondering. I also really liked the dream imagery at the beginning. The dialogue used also felt very fluid and the streams of consciousness that Gabriel spilled out when he was high was very well done in my opinion.
The only thing that really bothered me was I was a bit confused on who was talking sometimes. Adding a couple of dialogue tags would easily remedy this situation. Also, maybe a little bit more detail of the setting would help as we don’t know much about it. Gabriel just seems to move from one place to another but we don’t really see much about these places beyond one place has a TV apparently.
